We’re looking for a customer-obsessed Director, Product Marketing to join our team of collaborative marketing members who are individually brilliant, love working with each other, and embrace a growth mindset. In this role you will be responsible for driving and bringing the end-to-end AI strategy for Microsoft Purview to market. Your primary objectives will be to increase awareness, drive sales, deployment, and usage of AI in Microsoft Purview.

This role requires experience with strategy development and execution, storytelling expertise, value proposition and messaging development, strategic thinking, business acumen, and attention to detail for our customers.

Responsibilities

To reach our goals in this market, you are focused on the customer and business outcomes and have experience in building deep partnerships with engineering teams to influence the product strategy. You can look end to end across the business including marketing campaigns, readiness, product strategy, partner, and competitors to help improve product, land our messaging and offers at scale, and deliver great digital marketing.

Responsibilities Include

• Influence and drive the long-term vision and product strategy based on a deep understanding of customer needs, market and user research, and landscape.
• Creating and owning the differentiated value proposition/messaging and positioning framework and associated content.
• Leverage market intelligence to identify marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, customer advocacy, renewals and thought leadership.
• Create and lead partnerships with multiple matrixed teams to define and develop Go-to-Market strategies (e.g., landing pages, product overviews) to deliver customer and partner success, resulting in positive revenue, growth, and share outcomes.
• Collaborating with business planning on business model decisions and then bringing those to market.
• Influencing and creating content for field and partner marketing strategies to ensure readiness and sales success.
• Understand competitor strengths, weaknesses, Microsoft’s positioning, and anticipate the business implications and problems to reduce risk and ensure that Microsoft is ahead of the market.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
• OR Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
• OR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business
• OR Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience
• OR equivalent experience.

Product Marketing IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 – $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 – $264,000 per year.
