Job Details
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced individual to fill our Senior Audit Role in the Finance industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in our fast-paced, results-oriented team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating audit procedures, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and maintaining compliance with tax laws. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading and coordinating audit engagements from planning to reporting stages.
2. Reviewing and approving journal entries and financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
3. Preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
4. Conducting thorough examinations of all financial records, reports, systems, and procedures.
5. Identifying and communicating audit findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
6. Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes and advising management on necessary updates or adjustments.
7. Mentoring and guiding junior auditors, fostering a supportive and productive team environment.
8. Liaising with external auditors, providing necessary information and facilitating audits.
9. Participating in special audits or investigations as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Audit Role will possess:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in auditing, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is required.
3. Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns.
4. Proven track record in conducting successful audits, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in creating and reviewing journal entries.
6. Comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to advise on compliance issues.
7. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial discrepancies and risks.
10. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
