JOB DESCRIPTION:
The UPS Global Customer Solutions group is seeking passionate, ambitious undergraduate and/or graduate students who are excited to learn new skills and are not afraid to tackle complex projects. Global Customer Solutions works closely with UPS customers to meet their supply chain needs. This internship program provides an excellent learning environment with access to senior leaders and mentors to support the intern journey.
Interns will have a project from our Solutions Design and Implementation Group (SolDI) providing an opportunity to use problem solving skills to evaluate our customers’ supply chain and provide innovative solutions to help support their business goals. Additionally, interns will work with the Solutions Engagement Group to develop consultative sales skills to round out the “real world” experience.
Responsibilities and Duties

Complete SolDI project, starting with developing a project plan, to identifying tasks and milestones, and implementing big ideas

Learn the sales process and shadow/assist with client presentations and discovery calls

Assist with revenue generation through consultative sales activities

Assist with identifying customers’ business needs and aligning solutions accordingly

Assist Solutions Engagement Resource with correctly aligning internal resources and managing project expectations and timelines

Assist with formulating and developing sales proposals

Assist with building customer acknowledged Return on Investment and Value Propositions

Presents analysis, insights, and deliverables to senior staff at the end of the internship, communicating the impact of the project outcome to UPS

Minimum Qualifications
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

Must be a rising college sophomore, junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months, upon starting internship

Must be available to work 35-40 hours per week

Business Management, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, International Business majors – Preferred
