UX Designer Job Description
As a UX Designer you will work within a development team and collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other business stakeholders to help us build and create simple solutions for the airline industry. We are looking for a seasoned UX thinker with a solid portfolio to help us develop the next iteration of ATPCO’s products. You Will:
- Iterate on current state product experiences by applying user-centered design thinking to optimize existing capabilities and bring new features to users
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the software development process while advocating for user needs to ensure customer outcomes are achieved
- Facilitate exploratory working sessions with cross-functional team members
- Apply a build-measure-learn approach and other proven frameworks to product innovation
- Partner with UX Researchers to validate design decisions and uncover actionable insights
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, information architecture diagrams, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Develop an operating rhythm with Product and Engineering stakeholders to ensure all perspectives are considered throughout the design process
- Perform heuristic evaluations, A/B tests, journey mapping, and other UX exercises to obtain learnings that can be integrated into ongoing enhancements
- Review user behavior analytics to determine if designs are making a measurable impact on the user experience
- Present in-progress work to UX peers and stakeholders and synthesize feedback into the design path forward
- Build a strong understanding of ATPCO systems, product portfolio, and the airline data ecosystem
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior work experience in product design or UX
- Significant experience in successfully implementing Best in Class design and development practices
- Experience designing across multiple platforms and working with technical and design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes
- A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader, or development manager
- Demonstrated experience in tracking project and program status, metrics, and analyzing details to determine trends and measures
- Experience delivering custom software within a Product focused environment
- Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Continuous Integration, and Delivery environment is preferred
- Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and direct contributions within those projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
